Well if it helps you with Karlsen he is a bit of a blend of Lu Meng (the pic is actually Lu Meng) colors and Guan Yu (Blue Dragon was Guan Yu's weapon).

I'll do a bit of research on those names and see what I come up with.

Question - How asian looking is Karlsen? The picture you have really doesn't look particularly Asian but I get the impression that from your descriptions of similar people that he is. I'm going to have a go at drawing him next week and I don't want to get it wrong.

He will look quite asian. The picture is a good representation. A bit stockier and a bit lighter skin tone than most asians but asian enough that Fiona was worried about him making it through the Pattern. Take Guan Yu and a dash of Gerard and you get Karlsen.

I'm sure you will do a great job.

So we have two new charcaters that I haven't drawn yet.

Leeland - how close is your character to the picture in your Avatar?

Xue - I gather that he is really quite big and bulky which I guess doesn't fit the avatar you have but the white tiger does. My understanding is that he's big, bulky and chinese looking - is that essentially correct?

Essentially, yes.

And his avatar is right, if you realize that the "human" there is 8' tall or so. It's a really big tiger next to him, so it skews the scale a bit.

I haven't taken this form yet, but I'm digging this image, so I thought I'd share.

Hey, sorry about the delayed response haven't been feeling well. The picture is a fairly accurate portrayal of Leeland. He's a slender and somewhat whimsical man, perhaps a little sad but he tries not to show that. He favors muted colors, grays and browns with the occasional green.
