Introducing Aiden

Hi, all. I realize that you're all filled up at the moment but I'd like to introduce myself as a '2nd string player' if you add to the lineup, David. In this shadow, my name is Mark. I've been interested in getting in on an Amber game for several years because Zelazny's Amber series is without doubt my favorite set of books, but just never created that occurrance. I've played a number of rpgs back in the day, AD&D, MARVEL, GAMMA WORLD, etc, but never something that was story-centered such as this, so I may be 'all thumbs' to start out. I did find this game after deciding yesterday to get involved in such a thing....sort of stumbled across here as it were, so I consider it must be fate.
I'm working on the idea of being Kerlaun, son of the long lost Sand..... Some ideas....Possibly somewhat estranged from mom as she wishes to remain univolved in the affairs of Amber. I would be curious but cautious as I've grown up with 'stories' about the lot of them. Perhaps was snuck into Amber a year back by Uncle Delwyn ( who can mask his comings and goings with Spikard magic ) to walk the Pattern because he knew of my desire to 'see the world'.
Anyway, I look forward to following the story and jumping in later if possible.

I'd rather not deal with any children by Delwyn, Sand, Finndo or Osric, etc. Just for simplicity's sake! This story takes place prior to the second Chronicles.

You know, at this point I wish I had the energy for a second game, because looks like I've got the players for it! But...I most emphatically do not. Soooo...pull up a seat if you like and watch!

I already got the one in the spine. Titanium stuff in my wrists would be kinda cool.

(Seriously, I taught myself to mouse left-handed... that's been a GREAT help. Switch hands every hour or so, it changes your alignment ALL up.)

Our new Player Character is named Aiden and we just going through some exploration of his background right now. Those of you who've been around Amber awhile have almost certainly heard of him.

Would you mind posting an introduction thread for Aiden with a couple sentences on what you would consider public knowledge about Aiden? Thanks.

Awww... why spoil the mystery?

Hmmmm....public knowledge....

Aiden would be fairly well known around Amber and the Golden Circle kingdoms...at least in certain circles. He is the son of Caine and Eithne(Enya), a woman of Irish and English heritage on Shadow Earth. He grew up learning the import/export business that his mother had begun and has since expanded it to include trade with the areas in and around Amber ( since Caine brought him back to Amber some 7-8 years ago to walk the Pattern. He was around 24 Earth years old at the time. )
Aiden is a professional 'collector', 'treasure hunter', 'seeker of rare and wondrous artifacts'. As well as helping to run the import/export business, he also accepts special commisions from wealthy patrons to find and retrieve certain rare artifacts and relics for their private collections. He is a consumate businessman and professional (although he does love the thrill of the adventure and being the first to hold and examine treasures which have often not seen the light of day for millenia.
He's even done a few small bits for the extended family. He has found several pieces of exquisite art for Flora, for instance.

And yeah, he really does wear a fedora.

Crackpot theory--could he have cast in a Shadow in an alternate Earth, one a bit more exotic and exciting than most, and (as sometimes happens) did a creative mind on his own Earth 'sense' that other Aiden and create a fictional version of him in the world were Aiden grew up? Maybe naming him after on of the States in the United States?
