Introducing Xue Ren'gui

"No longer Kierenne" here, just getting rolling with the new toon.

Still pending final approvals from David, so I'll not get into too many details yet... stuff might change.

But, as it turns out, I'm going with a Chinese theme this time: Xue Ren'gui Warlord of the White Tiger clan, and loyal servant to... somebody.

Yay! I'm Onyx. So I guess I'm the loyal servant of Leonates.

Ah HA! My influence grows! Now I'm not the only Chinese influenced character! Though your pictures look more Japanese than Chinese.

In fact, it's just a coincidence that both of my pictures with humans AND white tigers happened to be asian themed. Though, when I was digging around online about the mythical properties of white tigers, I discovered that there's a chinese constellation of the white tiger (which therefore extends to Japanese, Korean, and at least Vietnamese words that all sound pretty similar). And that, according to Chinese legend, the white tiger's avatar was general Xue Ren'Gui, from the 6th century AD. So I took his name.

But the backstory kind of leans more towards the ninja clans I've seen in a lot of anime.

So when do we first get to meet Xue then?

We're still working on fitting me into the Onyx Empire, so I'm not yet sure where I'll start out. Hopefully, now that David's done with his editing project, we'll be able to get me plugged into the storyline.

Honestly, I think part of the problem is that my final project for school is due next week. So, of course, I've been avoiding it in any way possible. One of the chief ways is me sitting and pondering about Amber (now Onyx) stuffs. So then I'll fire off a huge PM to David with some rambling ideas. Since he was actually working on his real job, he hasn't had a chance to respond to them yet. Then I'd have another idea, often a variation on the last one, and I'll fire off another PM. And the two will be similar but mutually exclusive. By about the fourth or fifth one, I'm sure David is now looking at this huge stack of my rambling musings, and trying to figure out what my current suggestion for what I'm trying to do is.
