"Wait, did you just agree to come along with us? That's awesome. It's like we're forming an adventure party. A Wizard for knowledge, a Vampire for strength, and me for my charm. What other pieces are we missing?" Triton smiles.

"You're right, that would fit in nicely with the story books. Unfortunately that is not something that I have a ready supply of. My family, both sides, are out. Where the heck could we find a pure heart? Oh crap. You don't think a Sister would count do you? I happen to know one that hates me. It might be worth asking for the sheer comedy of her refusal. What do you think? Does Mircalla count as pure of heart?"

"Sister?" asks Lady Sylvia. "As in Holy Sister? That is at least possible I suppose. Do tell us about her."

"Yeah, she is a holy sister. Sister Mircalla is a member of the royal family. I escorted her safely back here because my brother has a soft spot for her. Then she insulted me and suggested that she was my equal. I then informed her of my lineage and explained just how insignificant she is compared to me in the grand scheme of things. Needless to say she doesn't like me very much. Which is all the more reason to ask her on this mission. Think of how much fun awkwardness it will create," Triton smiles.

The enchanter looks at Triton. He speaks low and intense. "And has no one point'd ou' yourr own insignificance in the grrand scheme of things, young Prrince? She may be someone purre of hear' you say? If tha's trru then suggesting you two arre equals was no insul'. She was paying you a complimen' whether she knew i' or no'. Wan' some evidence? Who si's on Oberron's thrrone now? No' the bes' warrriorr. Norr the greates' wielderr of magic or Patterrn. The mos' cunning schemerr? How abou' the mos' rruthless? The strronges'? Wha' about the one who's the mos' of all those things combined? The Unicorrn, she didn' choose the one you would have, did she? Think you know betterr? My be' is you think you do."

After a moment he taps his staff and continues in a more normal voice. "Bu' like I said, I can take carre of meself. Le's find this Holy Sisterr. If she rrealy is as good as you say, she'll be worrth more than you know. If she agrrees t' come." He then heads for the door.

"Lots of people try and point out my own insignificance, but I choose to ignore them. Clearly I am the center of attention," Triton winks, "And you can be sure that she in no way meant to compliment me. She hates me. Which is why this should be fun. Now, let's find Sister Mircalla and get this circus on the road."

Thymm simply heads out of the government building, the way Triton and Sylvia came. As they pass the foyer, the receptionist shoots a look at Sylvia. Once out of the building, the enchanter speaks again. "So wherre is this lady? You say she's a prrincess? Of wha' land?"

Triton shares everything he knows about Mircalla with Thymm and makes sure it is all loud enough for Sylvia to hear. Even the stuff about Isabelle and the pirates. He figures this might be a good time to see what other thoughts or information they might both have.

[So does Triton even remember she's the daughter of the King of Uberwald?]

Thyymm listens, nodding. "I swearr--give anyone just wee bit of political powerr and look how they turrn everry waking momen' into a multi-playerr chess game!"

Sylvia yawns. "All this intrigue is fun enough, but frankly familiar to the point of boredom. You're obviously dealing with a powerful Shadow, with an unusually powerful family probably related to Oberon in one way or another. All these disturbances and shifting in Shadow Thymm refers to probably brought their world closer the Golden Circle so now you've begun noticing them. Four or five siblings, not trusting each other and vying for control of a presumably soon-to-empty throne it sounds like."

[I'm sure Triton remembers everything that has happened to him over the last couple of days. But it has been months for us, so I remember very little. I know Mircalla was a princess of Uberwald, and I thought I was taking her home. So once Thymn said there was no royal family here, I was lost. Sorry.]

"You're right about Oberon. Grandpa got around. It seems every day I meet someone else who is related to me. So what do you think? Is Mircalla worth adding to our party?"

"If she be a perrson trrue of hear', tha' makes herr a grrea' asse'. If she'll come."

Sylvia says "Oh certainly. The rarity of such people are worth it alone. So refreshing. A princess of Uberwald you say? Never been there."

"I'd begin," says Thymm, "with checking ou' Embassy Squarre, abou' a quarrterr mile tha' way." He points and heads down a street. Sylvia follows, through a series of quite picturesque streets lined with shops and inns and establishments catering to a wide variety of tastes--from opium dens to turtle-racing, the equivalent of geisha houses (for any and all genders) to chess clubs.

Embassy Square is a beautiful park, surrounded on all sides by tall elegant buildings that look somehow like a cross between offices and hotels. Each has multiple flag poles, each with the banner of some sovereign land. Amber, Bergma, Visaria--and Uberwald.

As it happens Amber, Rebma and Uberwald share the same building. Guards line the reception area where an official waits with a log book. Behind him is a large door.

Triton follows Thymm through the city, enjoying all of the sights and sounds. Once they get to the guards desk, Triton allows Thymm to speak up, assuming the man's familiarity with the city formalities will let him locate Mircalla faster.

Thymm waits a moment to see if Triton takes the lead, but when he doesn't he walks up to the equivalent of a Conscierge or Doorkeeper.

"Grreetings," he says. "Prrince Trriton of Rrebma is herre, bu' he's hoping to see Prrincess Mirrcalla of Uberrwald, if she's available. He's come to apologize."

At this the doorkeeper person gives the tiniest of sighs. "I'll send a messenger. Prince Triton--would you care to call upon Rebma's embassy?"

Triton looks at the enchanter, "I apologized before and it had no impact. Now you ask me, a prince of Rebma, to apologize again? I think you over estimate her importance. We shall ask her to accompany us and explain the situation. If she is smart enough to understand what is at stake, she would be foolish to say no."

Triton looks back over at the man, "Yes, please inform the embassy that I am here."

"Very good, sir," he says before dispatching a pair of messengers.

Within a minute or so, Sister Mircalla descends the staircase to the lobby. She glances at the enchanter and the vampire, then looks directly at Triton.

"Prince Triton," she says inclining her head politely, "you wished to speak with me. Why?"

"Straight to the point I see. Good. As you may remember I am on a mission to discover the reason behind the shift in the merewives dance. The Enchanter Thymm has some theories on how we might discover the reason. But in order to embark on such a quest, he said we needed to assemble the correct adventuring party. And one of the requirements was someone pure of heart. I suggested you.

Obviously you dislike me and have no desire to spend more time with me. But the fact of the matter is that something that could threaten us all is happening. We all know it, but no one wants to talk about it. Perhaps everything will be fine and everyone is overreacting. But I think that fate brought us together for a reason. So I ask you to join us on this quest,"
Triton finishes with a small bow of his head.

Thymm actually nods in appreciation over Triton's words.

Sister Mircalla listens, then hesitates. "I don't quite see how I qualify as someone pure of heart," she begins.

"If you did, then you wouldn' be," offers the Enchanter.

She considers what he said for no more than a split second. "I am willing to be of help," she says finally, "but I have other obligations. Please come with me while I make a consultation." She then returns to her embassy's floor. Thymm and Sylvia make every effort to follow. [OOC - I'm presuming Triton follows as well.] The suite where she leads them proves comfortable and attractive without containing so much elegance as to distract. She bids a manservant to offer her guests refreshments "Within reason," gazing at Sylvia, saying she'll return soon. Then she exits.

After a few moments Thymm (who ordered some kind of ale) says to Triton "So did she have that great big bodyguard when you two got into a tiff before?"

Triton follows with the others and relaxes in the suite while they wait. He asks for something local to drink, always being one to explore new tastes and flavors. Once he has his drink, he looks over at Thymm, "No, the large man is a new addition. No doubt a safety precaution against me," he smiles.
